How to enable biometric login on the TD app

Learn how to set up Touch ID, Face ID or Android Biometrics on the TD app. This tutorial assumes that your device can support biometrics. You can only set up biometrics for a single TD username or access card. If you share your device, you must not use biometrics to log in to the TD app. See Biometric Terms of Use.

Step 1: Go to Profile & Settings

From the home screen, select the menu in the top left corner of the screen.

If you haven't logged in, you'll be prompted to do so.

Scroll down and select the Settings option from the menu.

Step 2: Enable biometric login

On the Profile & Settings screen, select your biometric setting option.

On an Apple device, this will be either Touch ID or Face ID.

On an Android device, this will be Biometrics.

From this screen you can review the Biometric Terms of Use.

Close the Biometric Terms of Use by selecting the X (close) icon in the top left corner of the screen.

Select the toggle, switching it to the green 'enabled' position.

On an Apple device, this will be either Touch ID Login or Face ID Login.

On an Android device, this will be Biometrics Login

Step 3: Confirm your biometric setup

Confirm the Biometric you want to enable: Touch ID or Face ID on iPhone, or Fingerprint, Face or Iris on Android.

The action you take will depend on your device and may differ from the sample image.

You'll receive a message confirming that Touch ID, Face ID or Android Biometrics is now enabled.

You can now log in using your biometric instead of a password
