Raymond Chun

Group Head, Canadian Personal Banking

Raymond Chun is Group Head, Canadian Personal Banking, responsible for retail products where customers are served through a network of more than 1,000 branches, telephone support, and award-winning online and mobile capabilities.

Most recently, Ray served as Group Head, Wealth Management and Insurance. In that role, he was responsible for the TD Direct Investing, Advice and Asset Management businesses, as well as the Canadian TD Insurance business which includes home, auto, creditor, life, and travel medical.

Prior to that, Ray was President of TD Direct Investing and Wealth Delivery, leading Canada’s largest online brokerage, helping Canadians invest and trade to reach their financial goals with confidence.

Ray’s expertise and reputation for attracting strong talent has seen him work across multiple lines of business, embedding diversity and inclusion priorities as a passionate advocate since joining TD in 1992. Previously, as President and CEO of TD Insurance, Ray and his dynamic leadership team grew the business into Canada's third-largest general insurer and the country's largest Direct-to-Consumer Insurance provider. During his five-year tenure, TD Insurance also became one of the most inclusive lines of business within TD, further helping increase the bank's overall diverse pipeline and representation.

Ray has also worked across Personal Banking Products, Branch Banking, TD Waterhouse Private Client Group, TD Direct Channels Sales, Customer Experience and the Everyday Banking and Customer Strategy & Analytics business.

Born in Korea, Ray earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Queen’s University.
